Everly gets a mention in the news section of columbian.com!

"One Tree Hill" star opens B.G. restaurant

Actress, singer and songwriter, Bethany Joy Galeotti now can add restaurateur to her résumé. The CW Television Network star, who resides in Battle Ground when she's not in North Carolina filming the role of Haley James Scott on "One Tree Hill," has teamed with her husband, Enation band member Michael Galeotti, and in-laws to open Galeotti's.
The restaurant occupies the space in downtown Battle Ground that formerly housed Irby's Fine Dining and will celebrate its grand opening July 24 and 25.
They'd been looking for a way to get more involved with the community, and the restaurant seemed to be a good fit, said Bethany Joy Galeotti, 28.
"It's been an amazing opportunity for us to grow and dream. It's been really good for us as a family," she said. "We love good food and wine, and we love people. We couldn't think of a better way to reach out and touch the community. We want to be the living room of Battle Ground."
The restaurant will focus on healthful, organic, locally sourced foods, and will use eco-friendly materials and supplies whenever possible, Galeotti said.
Although she spends much of the year across the country, she plans to help out at the restaurant whenever possible, so diners may spot her seating guests or waiting tables from time to time.
But most immediately she'll fill a more familiar role: entertainer. Galeotti and Amber Sweeney, who comprise the music duo Everly, will perform at the restaurant July 25. The music lineup also will include Battle Ground-based band Enation, which features Michael Galeotti, his brother Luke Galeotti, Daniel Sweatt, and actors Jonathan and Richard Lee Jackson.

Find more information about the restaurant on the Galeottis' blog, battlegroundrestaurant.com.

There's even more to be said about Everly's frequent visits to The Grind Bar. Here's an excerpt and a lovely picture of Amber and Joy in their element on Saturday night.

What a weekend we had at The Grind, from an unbelievable wine tasting to great music and a room full of TV stars. If you missed it, you were one of the few, because we had a couple standing room only nights.

Everly played again on Saturday, this time for a full hour, covering Tom Petty and singing some of their originals. Amber belted out Peter Gabriel’s “In your Eyes,” (great pipes!) and the boisterous crowd fell silent when the girls sang their signature (soon to be) hit “Home is Me, You Are Mine.” I truly believe this song will be getting major radio play before we know it. It is absolutely haunting, and shows the range these two have. If it doesn’t give you goose bumps, you aren’t alive!

I just wanted to let everyone know that Everly has an existing fanlisting open! I'm unclear about who's running the fanlisting, but regardless it'd be good to show your support and take a few seconds to join.

Here's a fan reaction to Everly performing at Two Wine Guys at the Grind Bar.

I just wanted to let everyone know that Everly played again at the Two Wine Guys @ Grind bar last night. I got there around 10:00pm and they were playing to a packed house. People were standing outside looking in the windows. It was amazing. The guy there told me they played for an hour and played both original and cover music. When I arrived they were playing some type of Irish song and everyone was singing along. Joy was laughing and trying to keep everyone on track. It was the funniest thing ever.

Their last song was Home is me you are mine. It was an incredible moment because as soon as they started singing that song, everyone went became absolutely quiet. It was so cool that everyone just sat their frozen by their amazing voices. Honestly, I got goosebumps. And I must say they both looked absolutely beautiful!!

My stupid
phone
died when I was talking to some friends so I didn't have a chance to take any pictures but I saw alot of flashes so I'm sure there are many pictures out there. They did have signs up asking people not to video the performance The place is really cool and everyone loved Joy and Amber.

All I have to say is that Everly is amazing. Joy and Amber's voices blend so beautifully together. I'm definitely going to try and go see them in Nashville.

Everly has been mentioned in Carolina Beach Today and in Tin Pan South's performers section. Here are the tidbits:

Looks like the 2 Wine Guys have created some Island buzz for Carolina Beach. In Shawn's weekly email, he mentioned that the music duo of Everly had an impromptu practice session at their wine bar Friday night. In case you haven't heard of Everly (check out the lower right side bar), they are a duo featuring the talented Bethany Joy Galeotti (of One Tree Hill fame) and Amber Sweeney (a long standing performer hailing from Washington state).

After putting out his email, the blog entry was picked up by the Wilmington Star and then the story went viral as the Everly/One Tree Hill fanbase picked up the story. Shawn mentioned that his blog is now getting flooded with hits from all over the globe reflecting the wide appeal of Everly...

Amber Sweeney & Bethany Joy Galeotti

Bethany Joy Galeotti (Haley James Scott on the CW’s television series, “One Tree Hill”) and Amber Sweeney have been writing songs individually for as long as they can remember. In 2008 they decided to use their long-time friendship for greater good creating Everly, realizing that two songwriters are better than one. They recently released a three song, acoustic album on iTunes entitled “Mission Bell.” So far, the album has seen great success holding the #2 spot on iTunes folk charts for several days and remaining on the top 100 for over a month. Everly is signed to Hilasterion Records with plans to record an album this summer. For more information check out www.everysong.com.

One Tree Hill stars aren't just spending their time on the set of the show or at downtown Wilmington bars. At least one has been sighted at a Carolina Beach dive singing her heart out.

The show's Bethany Joy Galeotti recently used Carolina Beach's Two Wine Guys @ The Grind to practice for her duo's upcoming show in Nashville. If you haven't seen Galeotti sing on One Tree Hill, then you might not know she's also a musician. She apparently sings in a duo called Everly.

The guys at Two Wine Guys told Galeotti she could practice there anytime, according to a post on their blog.
